How to Properly Clean Hardwood Floors

Good care and maintenance of a hardwood floor enhances its life and appearance. Before deciding on a method of cleaning or maintaining the hardwood floors, check the flooring condition. Is the finish chipped, dull, gouged or scraped? Use of water is not recommended if the finish is already damaged as water could penetrate causing further damage to the wood.
